Women empowerment

My name is Ruby and I reside in a small town called Swartruggens in South Africa. In this town 90% of the youth have HIV/AIDS. There aren’t any organizations that help in reducing the number of the infected and affected. Women suffer the most, a high number of women are uneducated and unemployed. I started a business that helps and employs women. We mine slate stone and manufacture slate tiles for roofing, flooring, walling, cladding and paving. Every purchase feeds a family and empowers women. Our website is www.simplystone.co.za

All the women who work for me are also going to school to get an education. We are planning on building an HIV/AIDS center in the community with health professionals to educate people about the illness and providing care.
