About Me:
Ruth is a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer in Uganda and the founder of Ligomarc Advocates as well its Managing Partner of the Firm. She has twelve (12) years’ experience in Commercial Litigation in the areas of tax, banking, corporations, trade and drug regulation/pharmaceuticals. Currently, much of her work comprises structuring commercial finance transactions, lender enforcement actions, tax advisory, business acquisitions/due diligences, trademark litigation and drug regulation/pharmaceuticals.



Ruth has handled unprecedented cases in banking and finance at the Court of Appeal. Other unprecedented areas in the Courts are in trademarks and drug regulation/pharmaceuticals.



Ruth formerly worked with Deloitte & Touche, Kampala, as a Senior Tax Advisor and with M/s Kalenge, Bwanika, Kimuli & Co. Advocates, a leading commercial litigation law Firm in Kampala.



Professional Qualifications; Master of Laws Degree (LLM) in International Business Law – The University of Manchester, United Kingdom, Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) - Makerere University, Uganda and Diploma in Legal Practice, Law Development Centre Kampala, Uganda.



Professional Memberships; Uganda Law Society, East Africa Law Society, International Fiscal Association, Rotterdam, International Bar Association, London and Managing Partners’ Forum United Kingdom.
