I find Hope

Hope is the amazing expectation of wonderful things ahead in the middle of storms. I find hope in my amazing journey, the steps I have taken so far and the greater future ahead. I find hope in finding my voice, it took me so many years and a lot of thinking to find my voice and share amazing personal stories that is bringing out a lot of positive impacts in the lives of both adolescent girls and boys.

I find hope in the lives of beautiful resilient girls I interact with every moment, girls who go through a lot of challenges but can afford a beautiful smile and look up to the future with so much hope, women who wake up early morning not knowing what to provide for their kids, cooking at most once in a day but hold on with so much pride and hope.

I find hope in vulnerable girls who walk miles to school, most of the times hungry and barefoot but still hold on to the hope of learning and improving livelihood.

I find hope in our girls, and young women who converge under trees as a group to learn basic literacy and numeracy. Looking at them struggle to read and write as they correct each other and laugh all the way. This reminds me that the future is still bright.

I find hope in my mother’s resilience and other girls who suffer the burden of being adolescent mothers with no resources and means of providing for their children, but take every step with so much grace and strength.

I find hope in all my friends, my world pulse sisters and amazing individuals who dedicate all they have to bringing the so much needed change in their communities and support network of sisterhood we have developed.
