CNNYP bringing in ‘Women Empowerment’ with its 2017 Edition

After organising India’s largest Youth Parliament in Patna last year, with 600 participants, Chanakya Niti National Youth Parliament (CNNYP) is organising its second edition in the capital of India, in collaboration with Gandhi Smriti Darshan Samiti at Rajghat.

Their first edition was a huge success and they received best of wishes from MPs across party lines, including Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The team hopes to make this edition even better in terms of quality.The Delhi chapter of CNNYP will be breaking apart from the regular clatter of Youth Parliaments, by being a theme-based conference, the theme for the 2017 edition being “Women Empowerment”.

The national level Youth Parliament will be simulating 6 committees simultaneously, along with a competitive National Press.

This edition of CNNYP, which is being hosted in collaboration with Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, at Rajghat, shall provide the youth with a forum to dissect the root problem that has contributed to the propagation of misogyny and allow them to deliberate on the contemporary laws and policies concerning the same. Apart from simulating committees that shall be taking up issues likeMarital Rape,Surrogacy,Representation of Women in Mainstream Media,for the first time in the history of Youth Parliaments the National Commission for Women shall also be simulated which will discuss two very pertinent agendas i.e.Feminization of PovertyandSexual Harassment at Workplace.

Apart from this, the National Press with Hindi and English reporters as well as a host of caricaturists and photojournalists shall also be present. The event will be covered by All India Radio and multiple news platforms. The aim of the event is to sensitise the Youth about Patriarchy and engage them in dialogue to make the youngsters an informed and aware electorate.

Best Parliamentarians will receive Letters of Recommendation from Members of Parliament, visit the Indian Parliament, and present policy solutions to the Minister of State- Women and Child Development

Attend the the address to the delegates by the Chairman of the National Commission for Women,Members of the Film Censor Board, and various other experts.
