Talking Street Harassment by Torch Light

Posted July 17, 2019 from India

The lack of electricity did not deter this young crowd from participating and they drew their experiences and thoughts by torch light wholeheartedly.

In our community meet-up in Premnagar, Pune, 15 children and youth made colourful charts related to street harassment during Anti-Street Harassment Week. This was followed by discussions and sharing of experiences facilitated by Mona More, our Program and Outreach Officer in Pune.

Hello, Elsa,

This is such a wonderful initiative/ step made by children. Young as they are, you are training them that they can raise their voice. Thank you for sharing!

Dear Elsa,
I love all of the work being done by SafeCity. This is a beautiful new example. Big congratulations to the leaders, and to those young people working without electricity! i am sure they will never forget the experience of creating these messages together.
