Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I received my Bachelors in Social Work from Western Michigan University. After graduation I worked in Child Welfare for over three years. I continued in case management and worked as a Bankruptcy/Financial Counselor for a couple years. I have always enjoyed the legal system and decided to get my Masters in Criminal Justice from the University of Toledo. Upon graduation I worked for a year as Parole officer working with the women population. I am now working for a Head Start Program as the Social Services Coordinator as well as working part time at a law office. I am hopeful to go to law school and continue learning. I also donate my time whenever I can. Currently I am volunteering at a humane society in my area as I love animals very much. I have gone through many difficulties in my life, however I will not let that define who I am and I allow events to continue to shape me and I am not ashamed.
I love continuing to learn and connecting with new people.

My Passions:
Recovery/Substance Abuse, Law, Child Welfare, Animals, Prison Reform, Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS, Women's needs/issues, and so many more things!
