Local Court Junks Filed Case by Halili Against Kho

The Pasig Regional Trial Court dismissed the criminal and civil cases filed against Doctor Hayden Kho Jr., by actress Katrina Halili in connection with the sex video scandal last year. The court said in its ruling that the prosecution failed to present evidence to show that Halili was unaware that she was being videotaped.

Halili accused Kho of the violating the Anti-violence Against Women and Children Act or Republic Act (RA) 9262 for allegedly videotaping and uploading it on the internet their sexual tryst without her consent. In other words, allegedly the privacy of a person is violated here.

Senator Bong Revilla is very disappointed over the court's ruling in the case. The victims here like Katrina Halili and the relatives of the victim will bring this scandal all their lives. It was a matter of privacy particularly in this sensitive case when the victims were video taped while having sex with the alleged accused. Therefore, anyone can do this kind of psychopathic act against a person particularly to women or worst to children.

Now, a question is in the process where, what is happening with the Philippine justice system? First, in the Vizconde Massacre case and secondly this time is with regards to the Anti Violence Against Women and Children Act. Clearly, justice is being paid. If you have committed a crime, fortunate if you have the money to pay and if you are poor, justice will be served. How sad? Think about it.
