Let's help each other grow OUR “WE-TREE of POWER”! Share your message and add an empowering line to OUR MULTILINGUAL POEM!

What’s the purpose?

The purpose is that we EMPOWER each other with our creative messages and stories from all over the world, with a multicultural, multilingual, beautiful, piece of art that inspires, speaks to us and empowers!

What’s the idea?

Language is identity! The idea is that every one of us adds ONE OR TWO LINES to our poem in the language(s) of their heart, so we continue writing the poem together.

How do I participate?

Apply one of the SENTENCE STRUCTURES that are stated at the end of this explanation TO YOUR LINE for our poem and add it to the comment section of this post. Metaphorical or literal, up to you! You are strongly encouraged to write in your NATIVE LANGUAGE or ANY LANGUAGES CLOSE TO YOUR HEART. Even if you belong to a small group of speakers, or your language (or dialect) is rarely or not written, still use it for your message! It is an enrichment for us! Just spell it like you speak it!

It would be great if everybody could try to provide us with an English explanation, so we can all understand your empowering, creative and multilingual messages. If you have difficulties with the translation, ask other members for help! You are free to provide as much additional explanation about your line(s) as you like.

It is just important that you...

  1. First, clearly provide your ONE OR TWO poem line(s) using one of the sentence structures that are provided

  2. Then state in which language(s) you are writing

  3. Then provide the explanation, if necessary

  4. You may also state your native language if it differs and other languages that you speak, so other participants can ask you for help with their translations.

  5. Check in the comments whether you can help anyone with a translation into English or into another language. Provide your translation as a comment to their comment !

  6. Get others to participate in our multilingual and empowering poem and SHARE this post: https://www.worldpulse.com/en/community/users/sarah10/posts/86514

The different sentence structures

  2. Be (...) but become (...) e.g. Be the seed but become the flower or Be the thinker but become the doer

  3. Be (...) but build (...) e.g. Be the ship but build an anchor or Be the river but build a bridge

  5. Be (...) but be (...) e.g. Be critical but be encouraging or Be different but be united

An Example of how to create a line in another language

I decide to use the 2nd sentence structure " Be (...) but become (...)" , my native and chosen language is German. "Be" means "Sei" in German, "but become" means "aber werde" in GermanTherefore, I use the structure "Sei (...) aber werde (...)" in German.

What your post could look like

My WE-TREE of POWER line(s): "Sei der Kokon, aber werde der Schmetterling."

The language I used: German

Explanation: My line means "Be the cocoon but become the butterfly". This is something that symbolizes for me the development we go through as human beings: Our life is a dynamic process and we should strive for our goals. We can all become beautiful like a butterfly and even if some people seem to be like cocoons sometimes, there are beautiful butterflies inside of them. But what is beauty? - Butterflies are not only beautiful and have a diversity of colors but they can also fly, they are free! So let us all strive to be and embrace each other as free, beautiful, colorful human beings !

My native language: German

My language(s) of heart: Papiamentu, French and German

You can ask me for help to translate: German, English, French, Dutch and Papiamentu.
