"Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to launch a second cohort of the Youth Champions Initiative – an exciting initiative to advance innovation and quality in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights globally. The Youth Champions Initiative (YCI) invests in visionary young champions who lead the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) movement now and for the next generation.

Following a competitive selection process, YCI will select 18 visionary young people working in Packard Foundation priority geographies – India (Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi), Ethiopia (Oromiya and Addis Ababa), Pakistan (Karachi), and the United States (Louisiana and Mississippi). YCI has developed an innovative incubator-style model that integrates intensive capacity building, leadership development, mentoring, project funding, and technical assistance to enable the Youth Champions to launch creative new initiatives to improve SRHR in their countries.

The deadline to submit applications is January 15, 2017.Please share this information with young leaders who fulfill the attached selection criteria and also disseminate this information to other organizations that may have potential candidates. Click here to download the YCI factsheet, and the Application and selection criteria to share with prospective candidates. If you would like us to follow up with qualified candidates, please send their name, organization, phone number, and email toYCI Coordinator Claudia Romeu ([email protected], with copy to [email protected]).

We truly appreciate your support for the Youth Champions Initiative as we work together to invest in the next generation of sexual and reproductive health and rights leaders globally. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter!
