Turtles

Dear Each and Every One,

In response to Zoe's thoughtful request for a photo, I'm contributing one of a tiny turtle I found on the beach. I never thought I'd have a particular connection to turtles, but I've developed a spiritual connection to them just since we moved from NY to Florida a year and a half ago. I can often be seen screeching to a halt in my car, leaping out and rescuing a turtle who is stuck in the middle of the road, lumbering, in slow motion, in search of water, about to get squashed.

One stormy day on the beach recently, I came upon this tiny turtle which no doubt is being missed by a child somewhere, but there was no one in sight when I snatched up . . .er, adopted the little plastic creature!
