Clash on Cambodian-Thai Borders this morning and continue till now(April 22, 2011 at 10.00am)

A clash between Thai and Cambodian soldiers erupted on Friday morning along the Cambodian-Thai border around Ta Moan temple.

The reports said gunfire was first heard about 6.05am along the border between Ta Krobey and Ta Moun temples.

At least four Thai soldiers were wounded in the clash this morning around 6.00am.

According to source from the border, Thai soldiers continue to shoot with heavy gun at Ta Moan temple. Pich Sokhin, provincial governor of Cambodia's Oddar Meanchey province, said clashes erupted at around 6:30 a.m. (2330 GMT Thursday) in areas around the Ta Moan and Ta Krabei temples. "The fighting is still going on and the Thais fired at us first," Pich Sokhin said.

The Thai’s Nation Newspaper published this morning that at 9.34am, Friday morning (22th April, 2011) - One Thai solider was killed, 6 soldiers were wounded. This newspaper said three of Thai villagers’ homes were damaged and almost 10,000 villagers in Bak Dai area of Dongrek Mountain, Sarin province have been evacuated for safety after artillery rounds landed on the their village.

The source stated that the Thai soldiers continued to fire us until 9.50am.

After 4hours of fire exchange between Cambodian and Thai soldiers, the fighting was finished at 10.10am in the same day. ‎20 thai soldiers died and many injuried and 3 deaths 6 injuries for Cambodia side during 2 fighting this Friday morning. Thai use airplane to survey Cambodian territory, violating sovereignty. Some of border gate between Cambodia and Thai are closed temporary, thousands of peoples along the border near crashes era are evacuated.
