The end is near..

I'm saddened as I write this, but I think about all the good that has come from this amazing program thus far. The amazing friends I have made, the inspirational stories I have read, and the deeply emotional and thought-provoking conversations that have been created. Each of us having come into this program with very different experiences and lives, has given us the opportunity to bond over many things in concern to the issue of female empowerment.

This experience has been so gratifying and rewarding - it has allowed us to grow not only as victims and survivors but as supporters and advocates. In teaching each other about many new things, we have also learned many new things; and that in of itself is such a blessed gift.

For me, I think the last time I felt this empowered was when I finally kick-started Saving Angel. The feeling of adrenaline rushing throughout my body and excitment for the future is something I feel everytime I come on this website. I look forward to reading the stories that my peers have written about on this amazing platform. I'm excited to learn new things from my friends who are countries away. This sense of life and empowerment I hope to never give up. And I hope none of you all ever give it up.

I think it's safe to say that we've all found our place here in this network of empowerment. Many at times we spend years searching for our place, unaware that it was here this whole time. This gift we have been given here I will never take for granted; nor will I take for granted the friends that I have made.

Even though the end is yet to come, I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you amazing individuals who have summed up the courage to share your stories of struggle and survival. It takes a great deal of inner-confidence to do something as great as this.

As much as we are each victims; we are together survivors - and despite the end being near, the beginning is yet to come! Happy Empowerment Everyone!

Hahaha, yes, the end is in sight, we will miss the reading and sharing, but in honesty I don't believe it will be the end. We should keep the Pulse going and vibrating. We have connected, there's no need for us to disconnect.

I would also like to thank YOU for taking this initiative of thanking each and everyone of us for participating. I hope you have enjoyed yourself also.

Although I don't get to read each and everyone's story, as I am using a cell phone and my battery get's flat very fast and sometimes it's network issues.

All my love. Loretta.

I totally agree with you! I don't think this is the end either - in fact it is just the beginning. This platform is giving us all the motivation and the voice we needed to start talking about these issues on a more empowered basis.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I truly appreciate your words of encouragement and love! I have had so much fun with you all.

Much love & respect xoxoxo

I think the greatest gift that this bond has given us is the chance to connect as friends, and leave such wonderful places in each other hearts! We know now that there are women just like us around the world who we can always count on to share our voices and our opinions!

Saving angel, indeed its' sad to think the end is near. But I believe that as the bible says "greater is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof". We will be better equiped and therefore empowered to affect our world positively after this exercise, we should take solace in this. Love and hugs Tessie.

Happy empowerment to you too!

I share your concern about the many constraints that may not permit us to read each and every story shared by our sisters and friends. Much as I know that listening is as important as speaking, we can't afford to stop speaking out. We must continue to speak out! There are still many stories that are unspoken, untold and unheard of, so, I am persuaded that the end of 2013 VOF will mark the beginning of more thought provoking and inspirational conversations as well as powerful connections.

Together we can continue to talk the talk, walk the talk, talk the walk and walk the walk.

Hi. Even though this programme is coming to an end, I think we must not stop posting on our journals that way we can always keep in contact and be updated of each others achievements.

I totally agree with you! I think we should have network/group conversations every once in a while to stay in touch and keep up to date with how things are progressing; discuss anything that has recently happened; talk about anything pertinent to female empowerment and gender equality!

I believe being a part of world pulse is the beginning of a viable network of women rights advocates across the globe. Nicely said Saving Angel, we are all here for a reason and though the application process is coming to an end, we have a common good to achieve a better world for this generation and those yet to come.

May our voices be amplified in unity.

Cynthia.

Even tho we can't see each other, we can definitely hear each other through our very strong and deeply emotional words!

I totally agree with you Ola! I'm so glad to have joined when I did so that I could have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing experience. It's so hard to call each and every one of these inspirational women applications because it doesnt even feel like a program whereby applicants are required. It feels like a community of women just coming together each day to share their stories of survival!

I'd love to stay connected with you! I look forward to hearing from you in the future!
