The world over has been hit by the ongoing pademic of covid-19 and many people have been left with nothing to even feed their families since they have been home with no work at all. In uganda in particular where the majority live on less than a dollar a day, the cost of buying a kit like face mask and soap remains expesive especially to the elderly, single mothers and the children. There so many communities we have seen struggling to aquire these protective gears and in vain they cant afford them and yet they need to move out to work places and gardens to find something to feed their families. We have therefore partnered with a group of single mothers who make hand made soap and face masks to make for us protective gears that are as low as $2.3 a full kit. We are looking forward to supply about 1000 kits to about 1000 families that can hardly have acess to these protective gears. And we hope with more funds we can reach out to as many families as possible with these kits. Our estimated budget for the this whole process stands at about $ 3850 which will include buying off the raw materials for making the soap and the material for making the masks. This estimated budget will also include in the transport costs to these communites as well as supporting the women making the kits.
when you buy a mask you are not only helping the community but a whole nation. Each mask bought a woman at the workshop making the masks get the funds to pay rent, buy food for the family and hence empowering each other.
We believe when women suport each other great things happen. Please help us share this to your friends wishes to have this cause reached.
