Beyond the Bygone - A Gold winning poem @ AllPoetry

By Shameela Yoosuf Ali

Strangled thoughts and crushed dreams…
Cursed was my being of endless gleams.
Do not bind me into a mundane seam…
As I lay serene in the twilight stream.

As the stars breathe over the arc…
I sow my wish tree in the dark.

Whilst made of old Gold and Silver…
Chains are still my trance’s border.
Ocean so boundless and Jade …
Stretches beyond the bygone.

I wait for none,
To stride towards my vision.
