To shift depressing thoughts engulfing us we painted. My sis

Haleema

hadn't sketched for a while now. But her daughter painted three full paintings while we finished ours.

Acrylic colour on acrylic paper.

This was on the #lockdown #day2

You're welcome. Oh, I'm glad you said that. I didn't realize there were three. They're all so lovely, bright and cheery:-)

Wow! Lovely coconut trees, Shameela! I am impressed. You have a great talent in painting.

I’m curious why you chose coconut trees as your subject? We have a lot of those in the Philippines.

Thank you, Karen,
I am originally from Sri Lanka and my motherland is full of beaches and coconut trees.
Most of our meals are prepared with coconut milk or grated coconut. I think it must be same in Philipines. Lovely to connect to you!

Oh wow, Sri Lanka! My husband was able to visit there, and he said it is such a lovely country. :) Yes, we eat meals with coconut milk, too, and more!LOL. We always call coconut trees as "Tree of Life" because we use it from roots to leaves. :)
