The Indian Act is the longest and most violent act of cultural genocide against the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.
Under Reconciliation with Canada, we seek changes, in justice, housing, economic development, health care, employment and embrace
our culture, languages, family laws, and most of all - to gain control of our lands.
Native women of Coast Salish Territory are Vital to our Nations, because they are the Clan Mothers, Mothers, Life-Givers, carry the Word of Laws,
make decisions on economy, air, lands, sea's. The Clan Mothers decide who the next leader is within the nation.
Under the Indian Act bands hold Elections to gain funding for reserves, and this structure and administration of funding has capitalized our resources through agreements with companies and government, and destroyed our way of life through absolute and utter Greed.
We are Self-Government, with intention to remove Elections on our lands; because we still carry a strong sense of who we are, in Longhouse Ceremonies,
our Nations, and through knowledge passed down to us, by our Grandmothers. We, as human's cannot eat money and when the rivers run dry and die, our way of life dies too!
The salmon is dying; please stop the madness, waste, and toxic dumping in our water ways.
