Its declared Genocide.......
The poverty of Native Women Canada is man-made - when Europeans arrived, they seen native women as "savage" or "nothing"...but native women of Coast Salish Territory carry the Word of Law of the Peoples; for lands, ocean, economy, family, etc. We seek a relationship, and it begins with acknowledging that Native Women are "somebody" within the Coast Salish Territory. We seek raise up our women, to their rightful place within their nations. Huch' Qu https://www.cbc.ca/news/indigenous/genocide-case-inquiry-1.5160941?fbcli...

Hi Sharon,

How are you doing? Thanks for sharing your lovely and informative photos and post about what you do. I love seeing the old photos and hearing about this rich heritage. It's too sad that indigenous people were pushed out in so many regions, being forced to succumb to new laws. It sounds like the same story of the California missions. All the indigenous people that had been living peacefully and productively in those areas, too, were forced to succumb to new religions, laws, etc. My heart broke when I went to visit these missions and to read the same story over and over. I personally wish the indigenous people weren't so friendly and peaceful. Perhaps then they would have their land and rights now:-( Good luck with your fundraiser, dear.

Thanks for sharing much light on our indigenous mothers and women. It sad that tradition and culture is beginning to fade so fast in this our today's society. However, I am certain that with women like you so passionate about such people will bring them in the forefront all the time. Thanks you for sharing.

Thousands of native women missing in North America; and everyone acts like its business as usual. The justice system is a very sexist and racist system in Canada that requires immediate attention. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jun/07/indigenous-women-missing...

Native women are speaking up across North America; we would like international support to end the violence against Native women. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/may/02/missing-murdered-i...
