It's incredible. My project, It's A Girl Thing reaches new heights. Hundreds of young girls now attend school full time as they no longer have to stay at home when they have their periods. We have sent out packs of 3 washable FEMpads in 2 sizes plus 2 pairs of knickers to women in Cameroon, Malawi, DRC, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Cambodia, India, South Sudan, Botswana and Sierra Leone.
We were also winners of Worcester Soup for bringing together people from all different backgrounds, belief systems in Worcester tthrough our FEMpads sewing circles, thus breaking down cultural barriers.
So what next? We are planning a trip to DRC to set up a sustainable workshop for our sisters there.
