Introducing myself and my journal: Honor Thy Mother

About Me:
Hello World Pulse community members,

Sorry I'm late! I was supposed to be very involved in helping the neediest in our world some time ago, but I didn't listen to the call. Well, better late than never; I'm here now. I'll be spending most of my time in the short term listening and learning from you, and will contribute my opinions and ideas once they are better informed. I have been very fortunate in my life. I grew up in a large and loving family with two incredible parents and nine brothers and sisters. I married a good man, and we have three children who are healthy, safe, and following their dreams.

My passions are my family, helping women and families (including men) in need, and fabric! I love to create beautifully useful things and desire to establish a virtuous cycle business model for a new venture I’ve been meaning to get off the ground for years (I am a novice entrepreneur). To me, a virtuous business model is defined by the ethical labor strategies employed, the ecological and economical utilization of human and natural resources, and the well thought out re-investment of capital and profits for the betterment of communities and people.

New beginnings - a fresh start, re-engagement, a second wind. Let’s go!

My Passions:
Family, Mothers, Fathers, Fabric!

My Challenges:
I need your encouragement. I need to re-examine how I spend my time in order to maximize this most valuable resource

My Vision for the Future:
Be you, Beautifully Useful. It means living an ethical and ecological life that adds beauty and value to people's lives, communities, the human spirit and our planet.

My Areas of Expertise:
Business (workforce planning, talent management, program management, financial management, manufacturing, communications through ppt). Creativity (design and construction of fabric goods), event planning.
