I am dedicated professional with more than 20 years of progressive and multifarious experience in Social Work and Inter disciplinary fields. I am a visiting faculty at College of Social Work, Mumbai University. I have worked in the social field, primarily with HIV+ groups, different sexual identities, then with sex workers and transgender and slum communities – all of the above mostly in Mumbai. I have also worked with Muslim women for law reform & justice throughout India. I have spent many years getting to know different communities, gaining their trust, and learning their issues and cultures specially minority groups in order to be an effective ally and advocate. Presently I am working with DISHA at Pune to coordinate various women empowerment projects at rural communities. I am active member of various peace and women networks and movements.
I am a Commitment to Justice, Dignity, Peace, Equality and Security for All.
I am in process to start my own initiative for women empowerment with fous on livelihood, so I need inputs and Fellowship support for same.
I can conducts capacity building programs for women groups, staff and Organization building on various development and gender issues.
