I am from Shabunda but currently I am in Bukavu. My family remains in Shabunda. Mother was a farmer on the outskirts of Shabunda near Matili. She grew maize, peanut rice and cassava root. When she arrived at the field to harvest the Interahamwe [paramilitary group] took her and they beat her then raped her. After having raped her, they numbered 5 giants, she returned to the house very despondent and began to bleed blood. At that point her husband told her to go to the hospital to obtain care.
