Mandala art on canvas
Share your light through the colorful rainbow

Hello everyone!

I recently joined the world pulse family. I am happy to be connected to all of you inspiring human beings from all over the world. Today, I would like to share with everyone from the beginning of my journey. I am 24 years old. Ever since childhood, I have had a special interest in painting and drawing. My only favorite class was art class when I was in school. After school, when I entered high secondary school, my focus was on getting good marks in other subjects and I lacked time to devote myself to the creative side of me. As time passed by, I started to get involved in temporary jobs. I took the passion of art through coffee making. I have further developed my skills by taking advance barista training and now I am working as a senior barista in a reputed restaurant in the capital city, Kathmandu. I was doing my job with great pleasure but after this COVID-19 pandemic came, my journey is now being halted. But happily, staying home, I still had the opportunity to devote more time to excel in my art skills. I started to study more about art on the internet. I learned lot about the Mandala drawing and I also participated in a one-day Mandala workshop at “Perfectcircle”. Mandala is a complex abstract design that is usually circular in form. “Mandala” is simply a Sanskrit word that means “Circle”. For me, my Mandala design is inspiring and therapeutic. When I start drawing a Mandala, I look inside myself and sketch the shapes and patterns that represent my states of mind in my depths and fill them with the same colorful colors – drawing wishes for me and for my loved ones.

Dear Singh Sumi,
Welcome to World Pulse. That is very intricate art that you made there. Most of the Mandalas I see around are print outs. But did you say you draw yours from scratch, and then colour it in?
I was so intrigued by your creativity in how you turned your art into excellent barista skills. I never paid much attention to coffee froth designs, but then again, I don't drink coffee. Anyway, I was impressed that you turned your love for art into serving others in the hospitality industry.
Good on you, and thank you for sharing your splash of rainbow:)

Thank you so much dear sister for reading my story. I am so glad to be here. Yes, I do draw every pattern step by step scratching every shape to make it the same and perfect. I fill them with the hues of the color using a fine brush. Being a barista, serving a cup of joy to a customer and their smile makes me more free and happy. I will be posting more of my art-related stories in the coming days. Hope you will keep posted.

That is incredible! I laugh at myself that I can't even draw a straight line, that's why I paint and draw with words haha :)
You have an amazing skill. I have never seen Mandala on canvas before. I hope you can find a way to monetize your art because it's unique.
Keep creating :)

Welcome to World Pulse Singh. Your story is your power. Thank you for sharing your artwork. It's beautiful. Thank you also for joining World Pulse and connecting with us. This is interesting...The word “mandala” comes from the Sanskrit word for circle. Many people find drawing mandalas to be a very centering and expressive activity. Thank you for sharing.
