I am the Founder of My Sisters Keeper Development Initiative. A movement for the support of the rights of Single Mothers in my rural community of Gboko, Nigeria..I am a Girl Child Rights Activist and Single mother of 3. I love to inspire and Motivate Teenage Pregnant Girls in my locality who have been thrown out of their homes by family and who are looked down upon by the society I live in as Outcasts.
Some are forced into living with men who abuse them physically and sexually in order to live.
I encourage them to keep hope alive and not abandon their babies with little donations of cash to start up micro businesses to sustain them and their babies, donations of clothing an food Items.
I have been trying to rally for support but have met stiff resistance as single mothers are seen as a disgrace to the family and no one wants to identify with them.
I counsel with the young mothers who are vulnerable to Prostitution as the men here see them as easy prey for their clandestine acts.
To see Young teenage Single mothers attain self reliance and self esteem and to bring up and train their children well.
Volunteers counselors, Donations of every kind to support the teenage mothers for accommodation, food, clothing and childcare.
Mentoring girls to achieve their dreams. Organizing campaigns to educate young girls and creating self help initiatives for rural women.
