MY VISION FOR THE WORLD

MY VISION ON EMPOWERMENT

Education is powerful. Well informed persons, perform better in any field of endeavour. Therefore I set training education as my key goal to succeed in my vision to work for women and youths. I need special technical trainings on my focus areas: women and sustainable economic empowerment of unemployed, underemployed and or, unemployable women. I need sound advocacy skill to enable me plan and execute accurately programmes on the right of women to education and economic resources. This will help me to design developmental programmes, speak professionally and train and impact knowledge with authority to my focus group.
I want my focus group to have a sustainable living. For this reason, I design programmes that are self sustaining, and all I need is a take- off grant every other monetary obligation will be taken care of.
My vision for the community is to see a secured society, where women are educationally and economically empowered, for Self-reliance and wealth creation for extreme poverty/illiteracy eradication. I believe in the economic empowerment of women because women are necessary tool for development. When she is economically empowered her children will be happy and our world will develop and be a better place to live in.
A woman is the mother earth; she should be fundamentally considered in development plan of any nation. Therefore, she mandatorily need special skills and equipment necessary to perform this God- given functions effectively to her offspring without obstacles for continuity of the earth, development and security of mankind. Why then should her male offspring decide to work against her? Keep thinking!
As the founder of Skill Development Foundation for Women and Youth (SKILDEV), I set out to teach women and youth how to fish and to give them solid foundation in order to eradicate extreme poverty/illiteracy through living and life skill education as a pivot to building successful Small & Medium Scale Enterprises (SME’S). This, I strongly believe will serve as a major root to positive development. She will not only be self reliance and take care of her basic and social needs but an employment generator, creates wealth for her family and her community at large, hence development is achieved and the world will be secured for all.
From the findings of research I carried out, there is high unemployment of women and youth in the urban centers due to migration of this group from rural areas to cities in Nigeria/Africa in desperate search for greener pastures. In order to reduce/solve this unemployment level, SKILDEV have designed and want to establish Industrial Business Parks in the designated busy urban centers for the employment of unemployed women and youth in Nigeria/ Africa
SKILDEV Industrial Business Parks will be hub of businesses incubators that will train on skills, which will generate automatic employment. It serves as an opportunity to practice their skill under the supervision of SKILDEV professionals.

SKILDEV have been and will continue to equipping women and youths with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training using social media networking for improvement and marketing of their skills and products.

SKILDEV have designed awareness advocacy programmes on acceptance of vocational/technical and ICT education to parents, improvement of equipment by government and its implementation in public and private schools. This will combat unemployment on completion of education.

SKILDEV have come up with radio and television programmes to assist women and youths in their various businesses.
Being a voice of the world pulse correspondent has helped me to make friends globally. Indeed, it has an ample opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and plan developmental programmes. It will also assist me to speak out- a voice to the voiceless; a help to the helpless, and to post our needs and offer to resource exchange corner. I would like meet with the policy/decision makers and speak on the banes of education for women and youth achieving sustainable economic empowerment. The agony of the impoverished situations women face in the grass root is due to gender inequality. All these affect development in Nigeria/Africa. And I will recommend programmes and solutions for poverty alleviating among women and youth in Africa. Please key into this vision.
