Drive to reinforce agricultural land title registration in women’s name

Posted July 14, 2020 from India

50 women whose husbands have land titles in their names, submitted applications for joint ownership on land with the block revenue office.

  • As part of the agricultural scheme, members of farmers' groups (three villages) were taken to visit Baramati agricultural college on exposure visit and provided orientation on agricultural based business by the agriculture department.
  • Members of women farmers' groups applied for state and Panchayat Samittee agriculture schemes and some of them got benefited too.
  •  As per baseline survey , there are a total 611 women whose husband has land title in their name in 15 villages. Husband of these women will provide consent letter for joint ownership of land and then only women can be eligible to take benefit under agricultural schemes.

How many people have you impacted since your last update?
