Inquistiveness and a will to learn new things in life always keeps me going with a pace equal to the present faster electronic world.

Grown up in an age which was far away from the electronic media, life was simple and peaceful ,yet we all were far away from the facts and situations of the world and hardly knew about the details unless we drowned ourselves in a library.

From geographical conditions to social , from changes in every society to the advanced technology, digital empowerment has helped in many ways.

The urge to learn newer skills in life keeps one alive and zestful. And while the world is only few fingertips away and can be reached within a click, social and human issues now can be addressed more effectively ,without wasting time and energy.

A whole mass movement can be initiatied and masses can be inspired to put their efforts in order to bring peace and wipe out the negations of society. Earlier, years and years were spent in recahing out and communicating to people the real problems and by the time they realized, the issue became very sensitive.

With the help of this advancement and assets of such cordinating skills , we can initiate and execute actions against the flaws and discriminations of society in any corner of the world.

These are our biggest assets where we can bring a change in this world.

Dear Soumya,

Thank you for sharing your personal assets! Your skills with digital communication are certainly going to be helpful in creating the change you seek - in taking action against discriminations and other societal flaws.

One question that I'm left with, though, is how digital advocacy might be effective in communities where technology is not part of the culture. For example, how do you think you will be able to use social media and digital communication to facilitate change in the community that you grew up in?

Additionally, you write that, "The urge to learn newer skills in life keeps one alive and zestful." I absolutely agree! What skills would you like to learn in the future?

Best wishes, Casey

Dear Casey, Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and igniting questions. Your question remains valid about the role of scial media and communication in such a community which isnt tht active . Indeed this is a great challenge, yet nowadays people from every community and section are using internet and becoming more active. The idea of uniting women and initiating basic education through digital communication can be implemented,by setting up units , which can be initially started form homes and then into small centres facilitating women to access . Social media is a bigger platform where one voice can be heard and reached to another corner of the country . This platform has a power which can ignite minds and create a movement which was earlier impossible in a short span of time. It was really nice to converse with you on issues Casey and about the steps which we can take. Thanks and best wishes, Soumya

Hi Soumya, yes it is so true that digital media can be used to address long standing issues in many communities!  I am glad that you mention it's ability to inspire the masses (in order to to do things such as bring about change for those less fortunate, address inequality, and make changes for the better worldwide.)  It is this new digital social connection  and information dissemination that has true power!  I am curious what issues are dear to your heart, and what you would like to change in the world around you and how you might use digital media to inspire change? Keep up the good work.  -Emily

Dear Emily, SO nice to have you here and hearing your views, Iam glad we all echo in the same direction. Around us, we have seen a world of deprivation, discrimination ,hatred and lack of education. I think the inequality can be eradicated by education of women, equal opportunities for one and all , and by respecting every individual and his identity. I am a writer and have been conveying my messages through my writings and poems. The compassion of living and empathy for people , the social injustice and the wrath of poverty on the owrld, I have tried to express every such issue in my words on social media.Although , I do not claim that minds can be changed only by reading this, yet some impact on the mind is possible when we address thousands of people through such a network. It would be great to know about your endeavour too! Best wishes, Soumya
