A trained lawyer and gender specialist who has been engaged for almost a decade in advocacy, gender mainstreaming and gender security, adolescent girls and women's empowerment is as well a cinematographer and producer of several documentaries about girls and women's stories.

She has worked in Nigeria's private sector and in series of research and other assignments with various civil society organizations and international organizations such as the Girl Effect University of the Nike Foundation, the DFID, Girl Hub Nigeria, UN Women, the British Council, the Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria .



She believes, “I am a leader because I am constantly inspired to create platforms where girls' and women's voices can thrive so that they are empowered to make their voices count in society. I lead when I use digital media and other creative solutions to address social issues in my community.”



As someone had said,\"A strong woman stands up for herself. A stronger woman stands up for everyone else\"



Carolyn has started an organization “Girls Voices” which primarily seeks to provide an online platform where girls can connect and share about various issues affecting them such as education, health, fashion, entrepreneurship and other issues.



She has authored a number of thesis and dissertations, written position papers and contributed to a number of publications. Also she currently manages a digital media production company in Abuja that produces documentaries, adverts/jingles, and various digital content.
