To All the Storms in My Life

Thanks to all the STORMS that raged in my life to transform me into a person that Iam today. The turbulence and difficult times of life either make a person or break him/her ,and those are the factors which chisel, shape and etch ourselves into our own unique character.

These moments or phases of life when one tends to get lost in the melee of confusion or loses one's confidence actually are elements of change. The unexpected change is hard to accept making it more harder for us to sustain and so instead of facing and accepting we tend to break down .

As known and said, " Change is always for the better, else there would be no growth in life"

Life is never a smooth sail and so there are challenges that come in our journey, once we decide to walk independently.

The poem below speaks of those hours and times which break us and we on the edge reinstate ourselves with courage becoming stronger and determined to come out of the odds in flying colours.

"The grey dark night

with storms and lightening of skies,

I watched the rage from behind

awaiting for the dance of hurricane to subside.

Oh! But the endless beats continued

while I gazed at the black to turn clear blue...

Mustering courage in heart and faith tightly clasped

I sprinkled seeds of hope and patience

on the destined path

Wading through the noise , piercing the tumultuous

gazebo of thoughts

scribbling the mightier pen on an empty wet canvas

The spilled ink emerged

like an extraordinary mural

While the storm ended and stopped "

Dear Soumya,

Most lovely poetry came out of your pen describing the darkest phases of the life. And how one can trace his/her steps out of the gloom holding onto the tiniest bit of hope that lies embedded in every heart..that little voice inside us telling that this too shall pass.

Patience is a big virtue. Conviction that I can and I will.. Ohh you gave it a poetic touch:)

Everyone comes face to face with the hardest times at least once in this life and find their true calling, realize their potential and transform for the BETTER.

Sending you love.

Keep writing, it's so powerful.

Dear Rachana,

Iam so glad the simple words and thoughts could touch you . Yes you rightly said, in the darkest of times , it is hope and faith that we cling onto and carry on with our journey.

It is rather required to be patient and keep on moving with determination. Thanks again for reading and sharing your views as well.

Dear Soumya,

It's amazing you transformed the storms in your life into a touching poetry. I myself am a survivor of a recent storm that hit my country. The imagery in your poetry reminds me of time my family and I braced ourselves to strive to live for another day. But you know what, after that storm, we become stronger than before.

Allow me to share a quote I like when hardships come, " You don't know how strong you really are, until being strong is the only option you have". Continue to keep those creative poems coming!
