The true Face of Politics in Uganda.

Elections are coming up in a few months many Ugandan are thirsty for change and we all hope that we will have free and fair elections just like other countries. For example USA citizens vote and their votes determine the future of their countries. Five years back I was 18 and went to vote for the first time. At my polling station 80% of the votes were for the opposition. And all media houses showed that the opposition won at most polling stations however the opposition was not announced winner of the elections. We haven't seen a big change since 2015. Roads still have pot holes and we are paying more taxes than before. What happens is opposition leaders are oppressed and it is  alleged that elections are rigid.

We all wish we had a political system that favours the public but laws are made to favour those in power and so on.

We all know that chances of our leaders to change are less but we still keep hoping and supporting what we believe in.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Through out Ugandan history change of government has never happened by just the power of a vote. May be many other African countries are like this. Coups, and Wars, killings and so on.

We are hoping that some day we get leaders like the late Nelson Mandela. Leaders that are patriotic, leaders that serve their people and retire in peace.

For God and My Country.
