Singing with BLACKPINK, Selena Gomez, Billie Eilish & Miley Cyrus

...Well.... technically! (LOL) but hey, you have to speak life and put out good energy and vibes into the atmosphere. I had so much fun covering these songs because I enjoy them so much and I got to add my faith to them as well. Let me tell you what each song means to me.

‘‘Ice Cream’ by BLACKPINK & Selena Gomez - (link below)

wow! This song is a feminist anthem to me! It empowers women to have fun and know they are beautiful and desired! I love how The Koren SuperStars of BLACKPINK teamed up with Selena (Who is also a fellow Texas Native like me) to create this song! It doesn’t matter that they were from two different countries but they came together to make a wonderful song. It reminds me of what World Pulse is doing, brining woman of all different cultures together to make something powerful . I also love the fact that Ariana Grande and Victoria Monét are writers of this song. They used their gifts to uplift Selena and BLACKPINK, even though they are superstars in their own right! They chose to put the spotlight on them .

Midnight Sky-  By Miley Cyrus (link below)

This song speaks to my darkest times in life. When it felt like the grief and sadness was going to overcome me, instead of running away from the darkness I chose to embrace it and let it bring me out stronger. It’s all about finding strength in your own power and knowing that you are a confident woman who does not need a romantic relationship or anyone else to succeed. Of course, we do need each other but in this sense it’s finding confidence in who you are alone .

My Future- By Billie Ellish (Link below)

This song is a song of hope for me. So many times I have battled with not wanting to live. But with the help of God and the many amazing people in my life (including people like you reading this who encourage me) I have hope that life is good and worth living . Like Billie, I know what it’s like to suffer from depression and feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders . It is a heavy burden but I find hope that it is not my burden to bare. Life is good and it is worth living.

I hope you like my rendition of these songs. Please tell me what you think.

Hugs from Texas,

Stacie Cherill

Hi Stacie

I totally love how you view and listen to music. from time to time we miss how beautiful it really is, an expression from one party to the world, but really also an opportunity for someone to find the words to a song silently playing in the depths of their hearts, an "out Loud" re-claiming of life.

Thank you for sharing this with us, always such an honour to get a glimpse into someone else`s world through words.
