Story
Imagine a world where millions and millions of young men and women join hands as Agents of Change. Imagine this Change Agentscleansing ourglobal society of all its evils: illiteracy, bigotry, racism, hatred, inequality, unemployment, poverty. Imagine them working towards building peace, greening the environment and leading the world to a fair, just and peaceful future.
But first, imagine the youths being heard and being taken seriously. Imagine, because this does not happen very often. Our youths have the brilliance, the intelligence, the ideas and the talent to lead this world, but often they lack a voice.
However, there are hundreds ofwomen and men working day and night to change this picture. From helping the youths get an education andcareer skills to teaching them how to defend their rights and training them in various digital tools to tell their own stories- these warriors are touching and changing lives of youths all around the globe. And I feel proud to say that we have some of such warriors right among us, in our World Pulse community.
On 12th August - marked by the UN as the International Youth Day, Seven of our World Pulse Ambassadors who are also amazing youth rights warriors at heart, are rising together to celebrate the youths of the world. The Ambassadors - we are calling them the SUPER SEVEN - will launch a global WAVEof celebrationsbyreaching out the youths in their communities, teachingthem some digital skills and connecting them with World Pulse - a place where youths of the world can safely tell their stories, connect with each other, find support, positiveinformation and opportunities.
As the Lead Ambassador of World Pulse, I am extremely proud and excited to share this news and tell you of our amazing Super Seven:
Tamrack Verall (Tam)- Ambassador, Canada
Sah Ahmed Koshin (Sahro) - Ambassador, Somalia
Nakinti Nofuru - Ambassador, Cameroon
Carolyn Seaman - Ambassador, Nigeria
Busayo Obisakin - Ambassador, Nigeria
Olanike Olugboji - Ambassador, Nigeria
and
Nilima Raut - Ambassador, Nepal
And with them, I will also be celebratingthe youths in India - world's second most populous country where 65% of all citizens are under 35.
