I Reject Forced Occupation of Kashmir.
I am in chains, I have been locked.
I am Gaza, I am Kashmir.
My days are dark, my nights horrific.
My sunshine is dim, my rain poisonous.
My happiness has been grilled, my people tortured.
I am Gaza, I am Kashmir.
Look at me and see how bruised I am today.
I have been forced to kneel at the brutal decree of my tyrants.
My women are weeping, my men in jails.
My children are orphans and my youth helpless.
I am Gaza, I am Kashmir.
My tyrants have sealed my lips, choked my voice.
They have fastened my hands with iron wires.
They can never get me, nor my resources.
Because I am Gaza, I am Kashmir.

You have always been firm support to me. Thanks. My email is if you want to drop me any private message ([email protected]).

Hello Dear,
I figured, but it would be a way to get your story, and probably the story of many other people, your people, that are experiencing similar stories, and traumas to get their story heard, and to potentially have change occur. And, yes, to amplify your voice, too. I bet your frustration is at a peak. I'm glad I'm able to help bring you some peace of mind. I'm glad to hear it:-) It makes my heart sing to know that I've helped. Thank you, dear. I'm glad we are connected... May you feel better soon!

This is really a powerful poem, Sumera. Kashmir's situation today has unleashed a new level of creativity from you. I can feel your pain and anger just by reading your poem. What you and your people experience today is a violation of your rights. Keep raising your voice, and may more people from Kashmir raise your voice with you. The world needs to listen.
Thank you for sharing!
My dearest Karen,
Thanks a lot. I have no contact with my family or my people. I am unable to focus on anything. My mind is preoccupied and I don't know what to do.
I applaud you for turning this season of uncertainty to writing. Wow, I admire you actually. You are like Maya Angelou, trying to find strength and courage through written words. Look at your poems, dear, you create them so beautifully even when you say you are unable to focus. The pen is mightier than the sword. You have a voice. This is how you revolt. Please keep writing!
That is your love which is my greatest strength.
Hugs, sister. You are in my prayers.
Dear Sumera, Thank you for sharing your poem that is beautifully written and compelling. I see and hear you. Deeply appreciate how you convey the dire situation which I am sure resonates with so many around the world as well as your resolve to not let circumstances undo you. Thank you for your message of hope during times of extreme conflict and war.
Dear Maya,
Thank you so much for feeling my pain. My people are locked by Indian occupational forces. Please pray for us.
Regards,
Sumera
I stand with you my sister
My voice echoes yours
We are poets and will not be silenced
Your sorrows are ours ......

Dear Linda,
Thank you so much for standing for Kashmir. I am not a poet but my pain is so deep even I am unable to show its 10 per cent. The world must know what India is doing to the innocent people of Kashmir.
Regards,
Sumera
Places attacked where peace once thrived. May forgiveness wriggle it’s way through the bruises. Your writing moves me.
Dear Kat,
Thanks, just pray for us.
Yes, I agree with Jill and Karen- this is very powerful. So sad what is going on on Kashmir. I will say prayers for you and your family
Thank you so much world pulse sister for your courage and kind words.
Insha Allah, we will see a free Kashmir soon. I pray for all of you. We stand with you people. I believe injustice somewhere is the threat to justice anywhere. UN must have understood this. They have to break their dead silence. Dear Sumera, I've sent you an email and will wait for your response.
Dear Nabila,
Thanks for your message. My heart is about to burst because my people are caged. I am from Srinagar and I have no information about my family. My brother called me for 1 minute from the police station and it has been a month now. I am in the UAE and that is why I am able to use the internet. I shall email you video links by the NY Times correspondent who has exclusively covered Kashmir. There is a complete lull in Kashmir and all of them are caged inside. My brother said they can't access anything. We need to expose Indian brutalities. Shall email you the media link.
Regards,
Sumera
This is really alarming situation. I pray for the safety of your family. May Allah be with them. Yeah sure, you can send me any supporting video for exposing the real face of India to this world. We will be in touch for sure.
And i'm wondering how you have been to UAE?
I am in the UAE for the past three years as I work here. I was supposed to go home on Eid but as you see what happened.
Dear Sumera hello.
It's unfortunate for the world, we record many places where the people suffer innocently for what it is. It is up to God alone to do justice because He is above all and able to be in control of any situation. However, let's never lose hope that everything will be fine one day.
With all my love
Hi Seka dear,
Yes, I agree that above all is our creator and he is witnessing everything. We as humans are helpless but he is not. Like you, I am also hoping for lasting peace everywhere in the world.
