We Shall See The Dawn of New Kashmir

We Shall See The Dawn of New  Kashmir

August gone, September gone

October is in the prime of youth.

Eid is gone, peace is gone.

What India left is a painful song.

They asked how you survive decades of the blockade.

Even in hunger and anguish, how your cheeks are amber red?

They envy our beauty; they are jealous of our resolve.

They killed us, buried us in mass graves, yet we chant Azadi.

They bruised us, ruined our resources, yet we are adamant on Azadi.

They call us terrorists, damage our cause by their filthy deceit.

They stole our land, imprisoned our progeny in unknown terrain.

Yet we stand like a rock demanding our identity, undeterred.

They squeezed us with an iron fist, restricted all our movements.

They make us scrawl on the rough, dusted roads.

They crippled our economy, paralysed us emotionally.

Yet, we the people of Kashmir chant Azadi & Azadi.

To them, our cage is their normalcy as they are blinded by fascist thought.

With a fascist ruler with 56 inches’ chest but with the heart of a rat.

You recreated a history, worse than the East India Company.

Yet you failed to choke our voices, our faith and staunch commitment.

You will fail to cage us, kill us, steal an inch of this pious land.

Fascists and racists are short-lived, so will have a serious decline.

When you break in pieces, ripping apart your national fabric.

That day you will feel the pain of Kashmir caged for 68 days.

The pain will be gone, your rule will be over,  we shall see the dawn of new Kashmir.
