Congratulations to three of our PulseWire members - Lindy (http://www.worldpulse.com/user/1511), Mariam (http://www.worldpulse.com/user/7483), and Annette (http://www.worldpulse.com/user/7231) whose project proposals have been selected and showcased through MIT's Public Service Center! Students with advanced skills in a variety of fields are now able to partner with these organizations and apply to their university for the funding for their selected service projects this coming summer. All of us here at World Pulse are thrilled that three of our strong and dedicated members have received this incredible opportunity to work with MIT students in order to improve their organizations and communities!

This is an ongoing opportunity with a rolling deadline and I greatly encourage all PulseWire members to submit a proposal to the PulseWire Community-University Connection Group (http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/33709). Consider the amazing feats you could accomplish for your organization or community with the help of talented and responsible student volunteers! This is also a good experience to create a proposal to submit to prospective donors and grant foundations, as well as a detailed "Need" to post to the Resource Exchange.

You may see our own three member's successful proposals along with many others by clicking on the following link: http://web.mit.edu/mitpsc/showcase/opportunities/international.html

I am available to answer all questions about the process, as well as to help you refine your project proposals. To begin, please post a brief response to the Group Journal answering the following three questions: 1) What is a specific challenge facing your organization or community that you need to solve in order to be able to move forward with your vision? 2) What kind of expertise is needed to help you solve this challenge? 3) In what ways might a student, or team of students, be able to help?

Best wishes, Sydney Online Community Intern

Thank you Wold Pulse and PulseWire Community-University Connection team!

This is a needed support for The Queer African Youth Networking Center. We are looking forward to working with you, Sydney to refine our proposal.

Again, our deepest gratitude for this incredible opportunity.

In solidarity, Mariam
