Can you feel the pulse?
Can you hear the heartbeat?
It’s a strong heartbeat, it’s a thriving pulse
It started out shallow and low
Almost insignificant,
So silent you had to be listening to hear it
Quiet but yet humble
Strong but yet gentle and graceful
But the heartbeat grew stronger
And stronger it grew
Until the pulse was evident and clear
And anyone could tell that it’s coming from a strong heartbeat
The pulse and the heartbeat are but one
And embodied by the phenomenal power of the woman.
Outstanding and obviously the very lifeline of society,
Of communities and nations
Of families and future generations
The very foundation upon which
Hope and strength are born.
