I recently read an article about this fascinating innovation as well! It is absolutely amazing what youth are capable of doing nowadays. Besides the fact that Elif Bilgin was able to brainstorm such an idea to convert banana peels to a non-decaying bioplastic to combat enviornmental issues at such a young age, she definitely showed the world that solutions to huge, tangible issues don't always require complex, convoluted methods. Simple really may be the way to go! More importantly, Bilgin's innovation will hopefully get more individuals into thinking differently about how we should help out our environment.
I'm so glad that you know about this invention too, and yes! I agree wholeheartedly that youth are coming up with great ideas and great passion to make these necessary changes happen. So glad to find you here in WorldPulse.
We need to find a plastic alternative asap.
Thanks for sharing.
