WeLEAD: A Space to Create Healthier Lives

Our work is to develop a place of possibility cultivating a human-centered, culturally mindful, and healing-centered advocacy process with young women and girls who have experienced trauma in their lives.

We are providing a space to create healthier lives by providing integrative healing modalities that promote wellness and a space for healing. For individuals (female) and their communities to live life at their fullest potential in harmony with their aligned living goals. We work with (Un)healed trauma within individuals, families and whole communities which is at the root of some of the world’s most difficult challenges, yet we neglect addressing these wounds.

Through conversations for learning we co-create healthier lives by providing integrative healing modalities that promote wellness from within a continuous healing environment. We facilitate healing:

1) For individuals and their communities to live life at their fullest potential in harmony with their aligned living goals.

2) Co-facilitate with (Un)healed trauma within individuals, families and whole communities which is at the root of some of the world’s most difficult challenges, yet we neglect addressing these wounds.

3) Through conversations, writing, and documenting we are bringing healing experiences to aid in building positive community—starting with the individual for continuous self-transformational change.

Our passion about healing conversations and modalities to transform how we see ourselves in our daily living and our purpose is what drives the project with peer mentors, coaches beginning to initiate this collective and working with individuals and organisations on how to embody the change they are trying to create in the world. It is unique because it is a year long programme that promotes healing and resilience building of powerful young women and girls supported by those who matter in a judgement free zone, with care and self care communities which is central to development and growth.

All along the project embodies girls and young women's power, encourages and celebrates women's empowerment, independence, confidence and strength with various practical tools used for transformation. Impacting young women based in Southern Africa (Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe). They are vulnerably courageous, bold and leaders in their own rights facing various challenges such from mental health, substances abuse, violence and successful individuals. They are defined by their strong desire to break the cycle of any form of violence perpetuated by gender norms, patriarchy and harmful cultural practices.
