Your Sister Delivering Valedictory Speech _ Girls rock all over the world!!!

Honorable Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Members of the Board of Trustees, Administrators, Professors, parents, guests, and fellow graduates. Assalamu Alaikum and a pleasant day to all of you.

I feel both privileged and proud to be standing here today, representing IUB graduates of 2011 and 2012. I am grateful that all are here today to share in our celebration.

It’s quite dream-like that after four years, dozens of projects, hundreds of tests and over a thousand quizzes, we find ourselves here today to formally end an incredible journey; a journey we did together which measures more in friends than in miles.

As a finance graduate, my personal journey began from some blurred visions of my childhood. I remember the day when my father explained to me that interests on loans are just like living in a rented house and paying rent.

Unknowingly that was my first lesson in finance when I was seven. We even used to discuss about carbon trading and matters which no one else spoke about.

I remember Benjamin Franklin said, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember; involve me and I learn.” Indeed, my home lessons worked for me like that.

My journey all through was a pleasant and easy one. The reason was that I always believed that challenges are what- that make life interesting. And overcoming them is what- that makes life meaningful.

All praises are due to Allah. However the accomplishments I have achieved would never have been possible without the love and support of the people around me.I must thank my teachers of IUB and my counselors for the dedicated teaching, good guidance and generous attention. Their high expectation from me was the driving force behind my doing well. Getting the best marks was the only way of expressing my gratitude to them.

I also thank all my friends with whom I have shared so much. I had so much to learn from them.
Lastly I thank my parents for maintaining a congenial atmosphere for studies at home. They also provided me the best support.

My fellow graduates. I'm just one of you.We all are intelligent and creative. We all have the emotional capabilities and the possibilities to succeed. The only reason I’m here is I managed to produce output in exams the way it was best expected.

My fellow graduates. The IUB Bachelors’ is unique. It has provided us with a certain way of thinking, a set of skills, and the ability to work successfully in teams, qualities that we will take with us and apply to our future challenges. I believe that IUB has provided us with a “real” and enduring education. It has given us the tools we need to build a successful career. I am certain that each of us will be successful in our future endeavors.

So, to draw an end, I would say- Let’s try to be better people. Let’s put our efforts to make our country a better one. Let’s inspire ourselves to keep our dreams alive. Let’s keep our IUB spirit with us at all times. Congratulations, fellow graduates.

Thank you.
