Web 2.0 - Force of Women's Empowerment

WHAT EXCITES me about Web 2.0 first of all is the haven it is to meet all sorts of people and read and write, things i love to do. Upon meeting such people is the ability to interact and collaborate in a social media dialogue.
Web 2.0 allows participatory information sharing, it allows me to create and consume content and interact with people online .

SOLUTIONS I THINK Web 2.0 brings to global women include;
Helping women increase their self expression and promote social change . This hence affects the way women interact with government, do business and engage in civil society movements.
Communication and self expression equals civil participation therefore resulting into social change. Women therefore are more engaged in civic and political actions and take over a leading role in historic changes.
Being part of Web 2.0 creates a psychological support for women who are hesitant about starting a blog for speaking up, its important because it helps women interact and solve issues together on issues of oppression and injustice in their communities.
Sharing is indeed caring and it is amazing how women from all walks of lives, continents can come in one place better them selves and leave the world a slightly better place for their children and others.

Web 2.0 CAN BE EMPOWERING FOR ME mostly because it has given me the power to voice my opinion on this forum, it helps me share stories and ideas with others, keeps me open minded about other cultures, interact with fresh and lovely minds with the aim of empowering women worldwide.
Am slowly learning to blog online and this is the beginning of my journey as a blogger .The beauty about web 2.0 is that it does not limit content therefore my action through social networking sites like world pulse, video sharing sites, wikis, etc will not go unnoticed another day.
