Let's Deal With It - Eliminating Discrimination: Join us for the change

Kia ora, Happy new decade to you all. My name is Tayyaba and I am the Campaign Manager for Shakti Community Council Inc.'s (operating in NZ and Australia) campaign, 'Lets Deal With It - Eliminating Discrimination: Join us for the change.' Last year New Zealanders were shaken by the Christchurch Terror attack, one of the worst in terms of lives taken in the world of recent times. Our women's refuge organisation that serves women of minority background was doubly impacted, and we supported 13 families in Christchurch alongside others directly affected. It's why we know more needs to be done so history does not repeat itself. The campaign is phase two of our work from the conference we held in the aftermath of March 15th titled the 'Trans-Tasman Conference on Racial Equity'. Approximately 300 participants attended, including MPs from Australia. I am so excited that as New Zealanders we will now lead on the behavioral change that is required on eliminating all forms of discrimination. Given we have now done all the thinking we are now full speed ahead on implementing and producing a high quality campaign. I am writing to the World Pulse community as we would love to hear from anyone out there who can support the campaign in some way. Our launch in Parliament (NZ) and local events (in NZ and Australia) are centered around having a cup of tea with a cookie as the attendees discuss different forms of discrimination using Ara Taiohi (a youth development agency operating in NZ and Australia) Mosaic - Social Cohesion Cards resource, and how to affect change.  Here are some links with more information:
