How we celebrate girls and women by involving them in community outreach activities and causing them to impact communities

Hi world pulse I come back here to share a story!!!!!!praying you enjoy. In my community there's so much rain and the mosquitoes are breeding and the spread of malaria is at its peak. My heart aches for the girls that experience early pregnancies and those that have babies. Malaria makes women experience miscarriages and babies can die if they don't get treatment. In my community women and girls are neglected mostly if she gets pregnant at an early age.

That's why I stated up a community organisation " HOPE ON THE ROCK MINISTRIES" a community organisation focusing on helping widows and teenage mothers and girl child.

The epidemic has swept food off the plates of widows who are not permitted to own land for farming after the death of their husbands!!!!!! . These widows who help me keep the abandoned teen moms in their small homes because I haven't built a shelter for abandoned teen moms yet have gone through a lot of issues including malaria and lack of food. The little girl's bodies can't breast feed well with malaria and their babies at risk of death.

I plan to have a communal garden for widows and girls  to grow food to have a sustainable food supply and also distribute mosquito nets to prevent the spread of malaria as they sleep under mosquito nets with their babies.

Well part of my plans was fulfilled when a friend donated 20 mosquito nets and dry food and I used my women and girls to distribute it to the most needy families and what joy  was on their faces as they received the nets and food. The vulnerable women and girls found themselves useful in the community where they are despised this is building their confidence and hope to impact people's lives greatly even in their vulnerability

Dear Tendo,
That's the way to go Tendo. Women and girls are capable of doing community service. By letting them involved in your work, they will learn new skills and get comfortable meeting other people and improve their interpersonal communication skills. Hope you'll find support in your work. You may want to use the Resources page on World Pulse where you can post a Need. Who knows help might just come your way when sisters read you post.
Good luck and please take care.
Huggs.

Dear Tendo,
I am all too familiar with that photo, the needs expressed in every face, the hope and also the helplessness. The first thing I noticed is that the teen in the green dress needs a new one that's wide enough to accommodate her budding breasts, because I was her, and I feel her cautious embarrassment.
It's so good of you to be looking after these precious people in their needs and abandonment. You are a beautiful soul, and I hope that your foundation takes wings to empower these girls and women ignored by society. And if I can send a dress to that girl I used be, feel free to send me a private message and let me know how.
All the best dear Tendo:)

Thank dear sister

Hello, Tendo,

Your community is so blessed to have a woman like you to look after these widows, early moms, and orphans. Kudos to you our sister for being so courageous and strong through it all. We share your joy that a friend helped out by donating mosquitos nets and food. Thank you for this wonderful update. I agree with Ate Paulina, women and girls are CAPABLE! They know the solutions to the problems that arise in their household and communities.

God bless you, sister Tendo!

Hi Tendo,
This story bring tears to my eyes. I really appreciate all you are doing for teen moms. I hope and pray you gain the adequate support and resources you need to continue this great work.
please do not relent. Be strong for them and for other teen moms out there.
Sometimes, we take for granted these basic and social needs while others crave for this as gold.
I sincerely hope we will be able to fight against malaria once and for all in Africa.

Keep up the great work!
Well done.
