CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

International Women's Day Bravo!!! to all Women World Wide.

Women are Special Creatures, they are caring. Kind, loving etc. In a Family children love their mother more than they love their Father.  Simply because their mother is more close , most of the time she spends with the children than their Father.

Majority of the families if the mother happens to die first and leaves the children with their father. Majority of those children you find, they live a very miserable life especially when the father marries a woman. The stepmother mistreats the children so much that even in their studies they deteriorates so much.

During this International Women's Day. you find that Women receives so many messages from their children than Fathers receive from their children on International Fathers Day.

A Teenage Boy who had a single mother, when the single mother got sick bed ridden. The boy came to the chief and was sent to my house, because am a Volunteer in Community Health and informed me the situation of the mother. I got an Ambulance the boy was crying throughout as we were taking the mother to the Hospital. Oh.. my mother. He refused to go back with us when the mother was admitted. He slept on a wooden form till morning.  After four days in Hospital, the mother passed on. It was so sad. I could not face the boy, oh my mother .........

Am a Volunteer in Community Social Work. Through experience, Children with Special Cases (Disabled, Retarded etc.) I have so many cases very touching. Mothers suffer a lot.

In my Community, When girls get married and give birth to a disabled child, majority of the in laws reject the mother and the child and they chase her away, they say in their clan they don't give birth to disabled children.  The life of that girl becomes miserable. She is jobless, majority of them leave the disabled child alone and go to wash clothes for others, where by they are paid Kshs 200.  Majority only afford to go  live in one roomed old tinned.

Diapers is a great challenge to those young mothers.

Genny,  a mother of 10 yrs Disabled, retarded in a wheelchair boy, came to my house tears welling in her eyes .  She asked me what am I going to do now, imagine the only Kshs. 20/= I had I bought a one diaper immediately before I had even tied the diaper the call of nature spoiled the only diaper.

As a Volunteer of all those disabled, the sick I would request for any Organization/well wisher  that would assist us with Diapers for those less fortunate Women.  I know about four families who have two disabled children in one family. There is one family which saddened me more than others I have assisted. The first born is a deaf and the third born is retarded is a Cerebral palsy case.  When I got to know the mother I assisted her with information where the children could get assistance physiotherapy etc, she was happy and whenever I called her she joyously responded. She was always disturbed why that double misfortune found way in her family. So. she was ever confused, stress and then depression. The day she died, I had tried to call her the whole day, nobody answered the phone. Later at night is when I was informed she was no more. It was so shocking, it was so scaring, I just figured out about the two Disabled children.

Fellow Women, there are those Women who suffer most in life. There are the ones we should be Celebrating today. There should be a plan whereby like the International Women's Day.  All those Women with Special Children should be given a surprise visit supplied with Diapers, foodstuff clothes etc..  May I give a suggestion, those Women who have clothes they don't need. those clothes should be of great assistance to the poor in the third World countries to various Organizations/members of the World pulse Community.

When you do that you prove to be the salt of the Earth, the World would be a better place to live in there are those who live on hope so you give them hope,

The Lenten Campaign is here for the Catholics faithful, they fast, pray share with the poor/hungry what they have to eat or clothes that are not in use.

So, International Women Day, let Women continue to be kind, love, support, assist where possible. Let us remember this that the hand that gives is blessed than the hand that receives.  This World we will live ones let us assist where one can as you know GOD loves a cheerful giver you will blessed and your family. Amen

Time and again I have informed the World pulse Sisters the greatest challenge I have is a Computer. I visit a Private Cyber Cafe whereby I pay  lot in writing/posting the World Pulse Stories. In most occasions I am unable to write stories when i don't have money to visit the Cyber though sometimes they allow me to write and then pay when I get money to pay,

My heart will not rest until I find a Rescue Centre for the Orphans and abandoned children, dlsabled I mean all the needy.

I hope my dream will be fulfilled one day.

Dear Teresa,

Wish you a happy International Women's Day, my sister!! I am deeply touched by your account of how the boy had to experience tremendous pain on losing his mother and also of a woman who bears children with special needs. I have also worked with orphaned and vulnerable children, children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in my career and found deep psychological vacuum in children who later become adults when a mother is missing from their lives during growing up years. A mother is so much more than a caretaker. She is an environment that is non-judgemental and deeply supportive and trusting and a flower blooms only in an enabling environment. I will be happy to share my experiences over time if they help you in your mission.

Love and prayers,

Hello Dear Teresa,

How are you doing? Glad to have an update from you. I hope you had a good IWD!?

I'm so grateful for all the work you do for women and children.

Maybe you could reach out to Christine Ombima who is also from Kenya and passionate about helping children with mental health issues, and specifically autism. This is her profile, in case you would like to: https://www.worldpulse.com/en/community/users/christine-miloyo. I think together you could make a big impact!

Hope you're doing well, and having a good day, dear!

Hello, Teresa,

I love you already! I am a mother whose firstborn son is nonverval at 5 years old and still acts like 1-2 years old. So he has a special condition, too.

I am his main caretaker. I had to give up my professional career because I felt he needs me more than any hired person in his growing up years.

My heart goes with the mothers who raise these special children. I know the difficulty they experience every single day. It's an isolating, yet rewarding journey.

I commend you for your work. It is very rare to find someone like you. Hugs!
