Empowering blind women through vocational education

I always believe in independence and leadership of women that helps to empower them totally. When it comes to blind women and girls, I very strongly feel that the confidence level that “I can achieve" should be high. This can happen only we give them an opportunity to empower them in all spheres of life.

Not only formal education can help them in achieving this, but also VOCATIONAL EDUCATION also plays a vital role in this. It can give them small scale job opportunity which can transfer even to a large scale job. During my early days I have faced many obstacles in attending vocational training classes. The same should not be experienced by any other blind women and so I started VOCATIONAL TRAINING UNIT for my students with the support of motivating people around me.

Launched as a small project now it has moved on to another level where there are many blind women and girls in and around my state are getting  trained in different vocational skills and craft works. They are utilizing those skills and have given a very positive response.

Empowering blind women is my life long goal and I am on the way to this road with so many well wishers and good hearten people. Not only we train blind girls we also train boys so that they can also use their leisure time in a meaningful way.

Hope this vocational education classes bring a positive and confidence in the minds of blind girls and women and make them financially independent.
