Friendship

I migrated from Peru to the USA 8 years ago. Here I have a few good friends, I used to visit only one and when the pandemic started we had to stop to see each other. When we got vaccinated we returned to our face-to-face friendship but only for a little time, she moved to another state, and unfortunately, we are separated again. I feel that I live in a separate and return with my friends. I learned to keep in touch with all of them using the technology. Lately, I met online a fantastic group of artists from Peru and they motivated me to paint my feelings. This piece is called friendship in honor of my friends. I feel that I need to release them as a tree does with its leaves. They can go with the breeze. Though in some way, they are always there. I have with some of my friends a mysterious and complex relationship represented by the dark colors in my painting. For me, friendship can grow and develop, and in the end, it is something that gives me peace like the blue sky. Each relationship is unique and special, so are the leaves in my painting. I love all of my friends and I can feel them close to me because they are in my heart,  especially those who died during this pandemic.
