MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY 2020

It's time for action

MH Day highlights the challenges menstruators worldwide face accessing a safe & equitable period. From persistent stigma, to barriers securing menstrual products, to inadequate sanitation infrastructure; period poverty & oppressive social norms undercut educational opportunities, health & social mobility.

Its time to break the silence. Hear the girls out!

Thanks Jill,
We are hanging in there ... its been some tough weeks but I guess that goes for everybody.
COVID19 has done nothing good to the situation of distributing sanitary pads...

More focus is needed, if we are change this <3.

I hope you are doing well?

Thanks for the wonderful work you are doing to bring a positive and much needed relief to the lives of girls.

COVID-19 has complicated matters for everybody, but like other viruses and pandemics before, we shall not allow it to control our lives. We shall learn to live with it and have normal productive lives.

All the best to you.

Trine.

Thanks a lot and yes you are right.
Severe shortages of products, a sharp rise in prices of pads and tampons, and lack of access to basic information and services about menstrual hygiene management is leaving girls and women worldwide struggling to manage their periods during COVID-19 lockdowns.
We must fight Period Poverty!
