Nepalese women had learned from the beginning of her childhood that women are born to work and serve.

She sleeps with half mind open so that she could wake up at time to do her daily chores. Normally every woman had to perform her duties as a house wife in Nepal when she is in her husband's home. We would think that things are much better for women in urban cities in Nepal especially Kathmandu. Honestly 'it is' a little less hard for them in metropolitan city but almost all women and i also include girls has to go through an unnecessary burden, a burden that can cause only by a powerful problem that has engulfed us all, water supply shortage. She wakes up at 3 in the morning but not by her will, but with a reluctance and also a habit that has engraved her since childhood. She sweeps the floor of every story that her house possess in complete blur since it is her areas' power cut turn and within 15 minutes she heads out to be one of 50 women who lined themselves to collect at least 7 jars of water to and fro for 2 hours. It would have been a whole lot easier if they just had a pipe line straight to her home but the underground pipe that her house owned started hissing 10 years ago and the public pipe line is way out there where a physical exercise needs to be done to fill her 'Ghaito' (water jar). There is a water pump that all the women present had to exercise with which fills only 1/4 of the 'ghaito' in 15 strike. So we could assume that women who had to wake up early are just physically fit since they go to a natural gym every morning. But some houses are so unfortunate that they can't afford to have a healthy meal that would supplement for all the hard work. When she is finished with filling the large water drum in her house, it is time for others to wake up, so she runs back to her home and head in the kitchen restarting her chores of making her family satisfied. Only in rich houses and some middle one, women don't have to undergo such torment but still they also are the victim of water shortage. They somehow adjust living by buying water from different companies which offers tanks of water taken from outside of the valley. But not all of them are fortunate. Women in Nepal has learned from the beginning of her childhood that women are born to work and serve. No matter how easy the living standard of people of Nepal has become, it is the same struggle for women from rich families to the middle class and the worst for the poor. The major setback would be inefficient understanding. Though old women folk has gone through the same struggle as their daughter-in-law is going through, they still remain adamant to such thinking and silent themselves from speaking. They take it as a tradition, a way of female's life. It doesn't matter what we would call it, a lack of empathy or lack of education, the circle of livelihood has remained constant through out the generation. We can view here that how a national problem, a crisis, can effect a whole deal to the women of our country.
