I AM HOPEFUL

I woke up this morning, physically frail, emotionally drained and felt socially strained. Then I though to myself \"Hmmm this is the life of a woman.\"

I imagined the thousands of women out there in the world who wake up every morning feeling the same way or even worse than I felt.  We are bruised and broken everyday of our lives as women. We wake up every morning tired and we feel like there's no reason to leave. Society weighs on us, family look up to us and no one never seems to see that we are putting in our very own best. This feels so frustrating and overwhelming.

Then i remembered and looked at the bright side at the end of every tunnel. I went to my World Pulse page and saw what women around the world are doing, despite all what they are going through. I saw stories of women in the midst of crisis and war still fighting to make life better; stories of women who have been physically, and sexually abused, still they are striving; stories of women who have to do ultimate sacrifices.

All these made me hopeful.

I am hopeful seeing women coming together to bring and be the change they want in the world.

I am hopeful when I know there's this safe space where I can express my true emotions and everyone will receive me with open arms and warm hugs and kisses without judging.

I am hopeful when I can connect with other sisters around the world and share in their pains and we feel the warmth of family.

Oooh! I am hopeful when I know despite my fears, I can still take actions and get people to back me up.

World Pulse has given me that hope.

This is a word to all my sisters out there who are emotionally, physically and socially broken. You can always find that  safe space here. It's okay too have fear, but remember that courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to act despite the fear. Take the action while we all remain hopeful.

Yes, with World Pulse, I am hopeful!!!
