Press Release

Trans nzoia Youth Sports Association (TYSA) is one of top organizations chosen for the new online donation platform UNITED from Streetfootballworld.

Kitale, 17th May 2012 – TYSA is proud to announce that they will be represented on the new international donation platform from Streetfootballworld. The new website, JustUnited.com is the first of its kind as it is especially designed for projects that enable social change through football, and combines donating with the fun of a prediction game for the European Championships 2012. So users can help others on the one hand, by donating, and themselves, by playing the game and winning amazing prizes from Sony and Adidas.

But there is a competition for participating organizations too, which is where Trans nzoia Youth Sports Association needs the help of the local community. For the organization which raises the most money and meets the threshold of 3.000€ by the end of EURO 2012, on 1st July, there will be a top-up donation from Streetfootballworld of 3.000€! So they are encouraging people to spread the word about UNITED and help them win!

TYSA is an UN MDG Kenya Award Winning Community Based Organization using the power of football to bring about positive social change in Trans Nzoia County in Kenya.

The damage done in the post election conflict of 2007/2008 is yet to be healed fully and there is still need for commitments to reconciliation, cohesion and peace as Kenya approaches the next elections coming up during the next months. In order for young people to take their place in the community and prepare for positive futures, these young people need to become self-motivated, reliable, and confident decision-makers—able to overcome adversity, and take on responsibility through life’s many challenges.
