"DIGITAL SKILLS TODAY, FUTURE READY TOMORROW".

Uche Linda Okpala is my name. I'm a global teacher. ICT/Data processing teacher at Federal Government college Daura, Katsina state, Nigeria, West Africa. I'm a Microsoft Innovative educator expert, Skype master Teacher, Wakelet Ambassador, Fligrid Student ambassador, Natgeo certified educator and #MSFTEduChat Global Tweetmeet co host.

I had a repeated fibroid surgery for a decade now and it's been disturbing me seriously which I believed  that through this platform, I could get help.  I got married 10 years ago. I don't have a biological children of my own yet but have thousands of  students, global students are my children. And I really want the best for them by inculcating the 21st century learning skills, critical thinkers, problem solvers, digital and global citizens and for them to become members of the work force.

I'm one of those  educators who are experimenting in more innovative ways of sparking curiosity, cultivating empathy,  sharpening critical thinking and incorporating Edu-technology in the classroom, That's why I won scholarship to attend Education exchange in Paris - France, April, 2019 by Microsoft. I couldn't make the trip, my visa was delayed and denied because I wasn't having enough money in my  account.

I won AKS Global teacher awards Nov. 2019 New Delhi, India. I couldn't make the trip because the Indian consulate was requesting for clearance from ministry of education and external affairs, whereas i applied for tourist visa and AKS is non governmental organization and couldn't provide the requested document on time thereby rendered my efforts useless. My chances of attending the awards ceremony was ruined. I was devastated and depressed. I later got over it and moved on. This is my opportunity for my voice to be heard. If not for my health issue, I could have done more.

I'm currently leveraging the use of edu-tech tools in the classrooms, training of teachers and students both offline and online.  Because of that, I featured on #wakelet October newsletter with the Indian students  i introduced the Wakelet and walked them through the App. I featured on #Wakelet November Newsletter with my students exploring the Wakelet App.

I have trained over (1000) teachers and students targeting to reach a mile stone of one million across the globe by God's grace.

I'm a change maker, Transformer, Motivator, Innovator and  Together we can make a huge difference.
