Dear Ukheng,

I'm so glad you have found World Pulse and have joined this growing community of women around the world. I really think you will be nurtured here. It is a very caring and supportive community who shares your vision of overcoming discrimination and empowering girls and women everywhere. Welcome! I recently became a member myself and have already found my life enriched so much by being involved on the website. Please continue to raise your voice on the issues and concerns that matter most to you. We want to hear your story, and to know your feelings, thoughts, ideas, and vision for the future.

Like Debbie said, you must be a woman of great courage and strength to have overcome so much. I am glad that you are getting an education that will help you to manifest the dream you have to lift up the women and children in your community. Thank you for having such noble and worthy goals--to be a person whose passion is to help people. I want to help people too--nothing is more meaningful and inspiring to me than to know someone else's life has been made a little easier or more wonderful by something I or another did.

Welcome, Ukheng! As Debbie said, the "Getting Started" guide is a good place to start to learn about World Pulse and how it can help you connect with others: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/about/guide

I wish you health, happiness, and peace!

-Susan

All the best in your endeavors Ukheng! It is women like you who always inspire other young girls and women with your stories. Your deeds will go a long way in turning those struggles into successes. Remember the saying; where there is a will there is a way! Run with your vision and purposely persist to achieve it, it is not going to be easy but with hardwork, persistence, determination and starving your doubts and fears it is achievable.

Regards, Maretha
